The historical acknowledgment of male artists’ genius often overlooks the role of female muses. The male artist created depictions of the female body to illustrate their skill and mastery of the human form in their art.
My goal as a photographer is to reevaluate artworks depicting the female nude, examining the artists’ choices and intended audience. I aim to expose the trivialization and exploitation of women’s bodies, shedding light on the limited archetypes that have stifled women’s identities.
In my series, I explore being a woman in the context of male artists depicting nude women for a male audience, with the female figure at the center of this conflict.
